The ECRUL Project Management Unit (PMU) successfully conducted the Quarter 2/Mid-Year Review Workshop from 1–4 July 2026 in Paro, bringing together representatives from all Responsible Parties (RPs).

The four-day workshop served as an important platform to review project progress, strengthen coordination among implementing partners, and enhance financial and technical reporting systems. The workshop focused on improving project implementation through effective financial management, systematic monitoring of physical and financial progress, and timely resolution of implementation challenges.

During the workshop, participants worked collaboratively to prepare and finalize key project reporting documents, including the Funding Authorization and Certificate of Expenditure (FACE) and Itemized Cost Estimates (ICE), ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Responsible Parties also developed, reviewed, and consolidated their Standard Progress Reports (SPR) to improve consistency, quality, and alignment in project reporting.

The workshop provided an opportunity for RPs to present their Quarter 2 implementation progress, discuss emerging challenges and bottlenecks, and identify practical solutions to enhance project delivery during the remaining implementation period.

As part of the workshop, technical sessions on safeguards and compliance were conducted to strengthen understanding and application of cross-cutting requirements. The Gender Expert delivered sessions on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH), the Gender Action Plan, and the PSEAH Code of Conduct, emphasizing the importance of maintaining safe, inclusive, and gender-responsive workplaces throughout project implementation.

The Social and Environmental Safeguards (SES) Expert also conducted a session on strengthening safeguards implementation at project sites, sharing key observations from field monitoring visits, lessons learned, and recommended measures to improve compliance with social and environmental safeguard requirements.

The workshop concluded with a shared commitment among all Responsible Parties to enhance coordination, strengthen monitoring and reporting mechanisms, proactively address implementation challenges, and accelerate the delivery of project activities towards achieving the objectives of the ECRUL Project.
