The Project Management Unit of the Enhancing Climate Resilience of the Urban Landscapes and Communities in Thimphu–Paro Region (ECRUL) Project successfully organized the Quarter 1 Workshop from 24–27 March 2026 in Thimphu.
The four-day workshop brought together all Responsible Parties (RPs) to strengthen project planning, reporting, and monitoring, and to enhance the use of the Project Management Information System (PMIS). Sessions focused on improving financial reporting, tracking physical and financial progress, and ensuring effective coordination among RPs.
During the workshop, participants:
- Prepared key financial documents, including the Funding Authorization and Certificate of Expenditure (FACE) and Itemized Cost Estimates (ICE), with hands-on PMIS training for accurate reporting.
- Developed, consolidated, and finalized Standard Progress Reports (SPR) to ensure consistent reporting across all RPs.
- Presented and reviewed Q1 2026 progress, identified bottlenecks, and discussed solutions for improved implementation.
- Strengthened understanding of environmental and social safeguards.
The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to enhance coordination, improve monitoring systems, and deliver effective project outcomes.
