The ECRUL Project Management Unit conducted a two-day training on Social and Environmental Safeguards (SES) from 9–10 April 2026, bringing together 38 participants, including responsible parties, contractors, and implementing partners.
The training was designed to enhance participants’ capacity to effectively integrate SES into project implementation. Facilitated by the project’s SES expert, sessions covered the SES Framework, preparation of Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP), risk management, compliance requirements, and the Grievance Redress Mechanism.
A key highlight was a session led by the UNDP team on disability inclusion in urban resilience, emphasizing the importance of universal design in creating cities that are accessible, inclusive, and resilient for all.
