The ECRUL Project Management Unit successfully convened the 3rd Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting on 23 March 2026 in Thimphu. The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and co-chaired by the UNDP Deputy Resident Representative, bringing together key partners and stakeholders to review project progress, endorse the Annual Work Plan (AWP) 2026, and discuss strategic priorities moving forward.

Key Highlights

  • Presentation of overall project progress
  • Review of major activities undertaken
  • Endorsement of the Annual Work Plan (AWP) 2026
  • Discussion on key issues and the way forward

Launch of the Project Management Information System (PMIS)

A key milestone of the meeting was the official launch of the Project Management Information System (PMIS). This centralized platform will support implementing partners by enabling them to:

  • Track physical and financial progress
  • Monitor project risks and performance indicators
  • Strengthen coordination and reporting mechanisms

The PMIS is expected to enhance transparency, improve data management, and facilitate evidence-based decision-making, thereby contributing to more efficient and effective implementation of climate resilience initiatives in the Thimphu–Paro region.
